Fish Sauce

Nam Pla

Known as nam pla in Thailand or nuoc mam in Vietnam, fish sauce is a thin, brownish liquid made from salted and fermented fish. Pungent in aroma, no Thai kitchen would be without it. It is often used in place of light soya sauce. For best results, add to food prior to serving.
